Teucrium Trading, a specialist in single agricultural commodity exchange traded products, has named Steve Kahler chief operating officer.
Kahler, who has been with Teucrium since November 2011, joined the firm from the energy division of Cargill where he’d worked as a senior petroleum trader since 2006. Prior to that, he’d been with CHS, which had merged with Harvest States Cooperative where he’d begun his career as a grain merchandiser. Kahler held a number of posts at CHS including floor broker, market analyst, European grain marketing representative for and energy risk trader.
In his new role, Kahler will directly oversee Teucrium’s trade execution operations and will, along with Teucrium President and CIO Sal Gilbertie, design the trade execution strategy.
The Teucrium family of funds now includes ETFs dedicated to corn, wheat, sugar, soybean, natural gas and crude oil.
