Soros Vet's Hedge Fund Adds Marketer

Jun 8 2012 | 10:27am ET

Hedge fund Ellis Lake Capital has hired a marketing professional.

Megan Sterrett was named director of marketing and investor relations at the New York-based firm, founded by former George Soros protégé and Satellite Asset Management founder Gabe Nechamkin. Nechamkin's work this year should ease Sterrett's job: Ellis Lake, which has about $200 million in assets, is up about 11% this year.

Sterrett joined Ellis Lake from Doshi Capital Partners, a family office where she served as a hedge fund and private equity portfolio manager. She also served as marketing and investor relations chief at Heritage Capital India, an investment manager seeded by Doshi.
