SAC Adds Edoma’s Villa

Jun 11 2012 | 1:52am ET

SAC Capital Advisors has hired Louis Villa from former Goldman Sachs proprietary trading chief Pierre-Henri Flamand’s hedge fund.

Villa left Flamand’s Edoma Partners, where he was a portfolio manager, in April, Reuters reports. He joined SAC in London, the Financial Services Authority’s register shows.

Villa worked at Talaris Capital before he joined Edoma. That fund has not fared as well since its 2010 debut despite the hype that helped it raise some US$2 billion, losing 3.1% since its inception.
