The Dow Jones Credit Suisse Hedge Fund Index finished down 1.33% for the month of May.
The best performing strategy for the month was dedicated short bias, which jumped 9.03%, but is still down 7.62% for the year.
The worst performing strategy in May was long/short equity, which was down 4.53%, but still positive for the year at 1.86%.
Year to date, distressed funds are performing best, with the index returning 4.71% thus far.
