Former Tremont Founder Joins QAM’s Board

Sandra Manzke, founder of fund of funds shop MAXAM Capital, has joined the board of Quant Asset Management’s QAM Asian Equities and QAM Global Equities funds as an independent director.

The founder of Tremont Capital Management, Manzke founded MAXAM in April 2005. She was responsible for the oversight of Tremont's operations and the development of Tremont's business plan. She was also a member of the Investment Advisory Board. Sandra oversaw the creation and sale of Tremont's life insurance products, which were the first to use hedge fund investments.

“Sandra is one of the leading people in the hedge fund industry and with her help in overseeing both our funds we feel that we have substantially improved our corporate governance,” according to a statement from the firm.
