Blackstone Names German Advisory Head

The Blackstone Group has hired a new executive to boost its advisory business in German-speaking countries.

Jan Weidner was named a senior managing director at Blackstone Advisory Partners. Weidner formerly led JPMorgan Chase's German mergers and acquisitions business, leaving the bank in 2002.

Weidner is charged with overseeing Blackstone Advisory's German-speaking franchise.
