Greenlight Capital and Third Point issued their first-half returns just before the U.S. Independence Day holiday, and both remain well ahead of their peers.
Third Point is up 3.9% on the year and Greenlight 3.7%. The latter said it was up 0.3% last month, Reuters reports.
The average hedge fund is up just over 1% on the year.
