Toronto's SW8 Hires Portfolio Manager

Canadian hedge fund SW8 has added a sell-sider to its ranks of portfolio managers.

The Toronto-based firm said that Kyle D'Silva has joined the firm from Stonecap Securities. At Stonecap, he worked in institutional equity sales; D'Silva formerly worked in institutional equity sales and trading at Blackmont Capital.

At Blackmont, he helped develop hedge fund trading strategies, Advisor.ca reports.

At SW8, D'Silva will serve as an associate portfolio manager.
