Och-Ziff Vets Add Mount Kellet Exec. As COO

Jul 10 2012 | 11:54am ET

Maso Capital, the new hedge fund founded by a pair of Och-Ziff Capital Management veterans, has hired a former Mount Kellett Capital executive to serve as its chief operating officer.

Manoj Jain and Sohit Khurana have already raised US$50 million, and hope to raise another US$200 million, for the Asia event-driven hedge fund. Maso's maiden fund is expected to debut by the end of the year.

Now, they have some help. Allan Finnerty comes to the Hong Kong-based firm from Mount Kellett, where he was CFO. Finnerty formerly worked at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
