Long/short equity shop Atlantic Investment Management has hired Brian Rice as head of sales and client relations overseeing its global institutional and private client development.  He will join founder Alex Roepers’ group later this year.

Rice was most recently the global head of sales and client relations at Deutsche Bank's hedge fund group in New York in charge of developing and servicing institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Atlantic Investment currently manages over $4.9 billion in long only and long/short funds.

Roepers was a former director of corporate development for industrial conglomerate Thyssen-Bornemisza Group prior to founding New York-based Atlantic Investment in 1988.
