Asia-Focused Overlook Up 8% Despite Big Second Quarter Loss

Overlook Partners had a rough June and a rougher second quarter. But the firm's US$2.2 billion flagship remains among the best-performing hedge funds of the year.

The Overlook Partners Fund, which invests in Asia ex-Japan stocks, fell 1.1% last month and 4.58% on the quarter. Thanks to a strong first quarter, however, it its up 8.17% on the year, ValueWalk reports.

Among Overlook's current investments is Jardine Strategic Holdings.

Overlook was founded in 1992 by Richard Lawrence. It has about US$3 billion in assets under management.
