Philadelphia Financial Launches Bermuda Subsidiaries

Aug 22 2012 | 9:04am ET

Philadelphia Financial, a high-net-worth private placement insurance provider, has gone international, establishing two Bermuda-domiciled life insurance subsidiaries.

The launch of the Philadelphia Financial Life Assurance Company (Bermuda) and Philadelphia Financial Life International supports the company’s strategy of growth through acquisition and of building both U.S. and international distribution.

“Our expansion into international markets is a response to both opportunity and demand, complementing Philadelphia Financial’s market-leading U.S.-based PPLI franchise with a Bermuda-domiciled solution to serve the global high-net-worth market,” said John K. Hillman, CEO of Philadelphia Financial, in a statement.
