Hedge fund GoldenTree Asset Management has added a Morgan Stanley distressed-trading veteran to lead its own trading business.
The New York-based hedge fund named Daniel Ornstein co-head of trading, alongside Corey Geis, Bloomberg News reports.
Ornstein was head of North American distressed trading at Morgan Stanley.
GoldenTree specializes in leveraged loans, high-yield debt and collateralized loan obligations. The firm, which has $16 billion in assets, raised a $590 million CLO with Bank of America last week.
