Sep 6 2012 | 10:56am ET

Duet Asset Management will launch an emerging markets macro hedge fund, and has hired a pair of Macquarie Investment Management veterans to lead it.

London-based Duet said that David Dali would serve as chief investment officer of its planned Emerging Markets Macro Fund, with Jack Janasiewicz as chief strategist. Both come to Duet from Macquarie, where Dali was head of the emerging markets team.

Dali and Janasiewicz are joined by Brian Hassett, who will serve as head of operations. Hassett, another Macquarie veteran, most recently worked at KPMG.

The Emerging Markets Macro Fund will trade credit spreads, interest rates, currencies and stocks.
