Norwalk, Conn.-based investment consultancy Rocaton Investment Advisors has hired Michael Luft as a managing director with its insurance team.

Luft rejoins Rocaton after four years at Ariel Holdings, an insurance and reinsurance holding company, where he was part of the senior management team overseeing the group’s investment portfolio. Prior to that, he was vice president of insurance asset management and global relationship management for Wellington Management Company. He also held various fixed income-related roles at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Said Rocaton CEO Robin Pellish in a statement: “We believe that Michael’s expertise and nearly two decades of experience in advising insurance companies, combined with Rocaton’s insurance consulting capabilities, will provide a compelling set of resources for both current and prospective insurance clients.”
