US Bancorp's fund administrator has a new point man on alternative investments.

Michael Milmoe was named a senior vice president and alternative investments business development officer at US Bancorp Fund Services. He joins the firm from JPMorgan Chase, where he was executive director of worldwide securities services.

Milmoe will be based in San Francisco.

Milmoe's "extensive financial services background in alternative investment administration provides a valuable resource to hedge fund, fund of funds and private equity managers, including innovative solutions for fund valuation, financial reporting, compliance, tax, investor services, and custody and treasury services," Bob Kern, director of business development for the fund unit, said. "We are seeing significant interest from alternative managers in US Bank’s asset servicing capabilities, and Mike’s experience will be critical to continuing our consultative support to this important market.”
