Oct 10 2012 | 10:00am ET

UK lower mid-market private equity specialist NBGI Private Equity has added David Turner to its UK investment team.

Turner comes to NBGI from Experian, where he was as a member of its corporate development team, responsible for originating and executing acquisitions and commercial JVs across target markets, including information, marketing and financial services and technology and internet platforms. Turner began his career as an accountant with Grant Thornton in London, transferring to its corporate finance team before moving on to goetzpartners Corporate Finance.

Mark Owen, founder director of NBGI Private Equity, said in a statement: “We’re delighted to welcome David to the team. His recent commercial experience will help to reinforce our differentiated investment approach to value creation.

“David joins at a time of increased activity, with two new UK platform investments this year plus several add-ons to these and other investee companies. For the third year running, and with a quarter still to go, we have invested more funds year on year."
