Hedge Fund Redemptions Down Slightly In October

Hedge fund redemptions for October are down slightly from September, according to the the SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator. Forward redemptions measured 3.19%, down from 3.76% in September.

"As we enter the last quarter, October forward redemptions follow the seasonal trend of being lower than September," said Bill Stone, chairman and chief executive officer, SS&C Technologies.

Forward redemptions have trended significantly lower since reaching a high of 19.27% in November 2008.

The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator represents the sum of forward redemption notices received from investors in hedge funds administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the GlobeOp platform, divided by the assets under administration at the beginning of the month.
