SS&C Acquires Dallas' Hedgemetrix

Windsor, Conn.-based SS&C Technologies Holdings has made another acquisition.

The financial services software and services provder has bought the boutique, Texas-based hedge fund administrator Hedgemetrix.

The acquisition follows SS&T's earlier purchase of the hedge fund administrator GlobeOp and the new firm—including 10 employees and 20 customers—will operate as part of the SS&C GlobeOp business.

HedgeMetrix was founded in 2002 by Layton and Jacqueline Freeman.
 
SS&C Technologies chairman and CEO Bill Stone said of his firm's latest acquistion: “SS&C GlobeOp increases our footprint in the south and is an important part of our growth in the United States.”
