Kramer Levin Adds Hedge Fund Compliance Expert

Law firm Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, which focuses on the alternative investments industry, has a new compliance specialist.

The firm said that George Silfen had joined its New York office as a partner and a member of its financial services group. Silfen, formerly at law firm Schulte Roth & Zabel and Morgan Stanley Investment Management, focuses primarily on regulatory and compliance issues.

"George's extensive experience counseling clients on a wide range of investment management matters and his particular expertise in the ever-changing financial regulatory landscape, will not only be a huge contribution to our widely-recognized team, but will also be of tremendous value to our clients," Carl Frischling, co-head of Kramer Levin's financial services group, said.
