Hedge Fund Day (21 January 2013) Highlights

The Hedge Fund Day starts with a keynote by Scott Minerd, the CIO and Managing Partner of Guggenheim Partners.The afternoon will feature a unique interactive segment with workshops from, among others,Gauthier Reymondier, EVP at Sankaty Advisors, who will lead a workshop on investing in debt, Dr.SavvasSavouri of Toscafundon quantitative strategies, and John Thompson and Erik Serrano Berntsen of Energy Alpha Strategies on commodity funds. Prakash Narayanan of Saba Capital will discuss relative value credit investing in Europe. After the workshop segment, we will see keynotes by Randall Dillard, the CIO of Liongate Capital Management, Jim O’Neill of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and a panel discussion entitled “In Search of True Alpha”, featuring Randall Dillard, Stuart Roden of Lansdowne Partners, Dr. Douglas Greenig of AHL and Nikos Makris of Macrosynergy Partners; it will be chaired by Jerome Lussan, the founder of Laven Partners.

Private Equity Day (22 January 2013) Highlights

The opening keynote on the Private Equity Day is delivered by the leader of CPP Investment Board’s Private Investments Department in Europe, Alain Carrier, followed by a panel discussion on the dynamics between Limited and General Partners, featuring Alain Carrier, Christian Lucas and Joe Osnoss who jointly head Silver Lake’s EMEA region. After Francesco Loredan of BC Partners’ keynote, we will see by Marc Boheim of Goldman Sachs Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group lead a workshop on Europe and the outlook for European Private Equity. Gus Black and Dougles Getter, of Dechert LLP, will discuss hot topics in Fund Formations and Exits. The afternoon features a keynote by Hardy McLain of CVC Capital Partners Group and we will close the day with a panel discussion on the outlook for Private Equity, with Johannes Huth of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Jason Gatenby of Montagu Private Equity, which will be moderated by the head of Bain & Company’s London Private Equity Practice, Graham Elton. The day would also feature a keynote session by Stephen Pagliuca of Bain Capital.
