Goldman Energy Research Chief To Bridgewater

Goldman Sachs' energy research head is moving to Bridgewater Associates.

David Greely will be a portfolio strategist at Bridgewater, the largest hedge fund in the world. Bridgewater confirmed the appointment, Dow Jones Newswires reports.

Greely spent more than a decade at Goldman and was named a managing director in 2009. The University of Chicago economics Ph.D worked as a research economist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. before joining the bank.

Westport, Conn.-based Bridgewater has $130 billion in assets under management.
