Chicago Pension Hires Rock Creek, Pluscios

A Chicago pension fund has hired a pair of women-owned funds of hedge funds.

The $1.4 billion Chicago Laborers' Annuity & Benefit Fund committed $16 million to Rock Creek Group and $10 million to Pluscios Management, Pensions & Investments reports. Consultant NEPC assisted in the search.

The pension has been looking for women-owned funds of funds since issuing a request for proposals in July.
