3i has appointed Bruno Deschamps as partner and managing director of its 3i France unit. Deschamps succeeds Guy Zarzavatdjian, who moved over to 3i’s Growth Capital business last autumn.
Deschamps joins from Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, where he had been a partner since 2002, and most recently served as chairman of portfolio company Brake Bros.
“I am delighted to have someone of Bruno’s market stature and experience joining our leadership team,” Philip Yea, CEO of 3i, said. “His deep knowledge of international markets, his expertise of adding operational value to the companies in which he invests, and his strong reputation and network in the European market makes him a great asset to our business as we grow internationally.”
3i focuses on buyouts, growth capital, venture capital, and infrastructure investing across Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
