Amsterdam, Netherlands-based AlpInvest Partners has hired Elliot Royce as a partner in the New York office.
Elliot joins AlpInvest from Alliance Private Equity Partners, where he was managing director and head of the New York office. Previously, he worked for GE Equity, the p.e. arm of General Electric.
AlpInvest has also promoted Wouter Moerel to partner in its secondary investments team in the Amsterdam office. Wouter joined the firm’s secondary team in 2005 from The Carlyle Group, where he worked as a principal.
AlpInvest Partners currently manages over €35 billion (US$48 billion) in assets under management. Approximately 80% of its capital is invested in p.e. funds globally, including through secondary transactions, with the remainder invested directly in companies as a co-investor in Europe and the U.S.
