Jan 14 2013 | 1:11pm ET

Hedge fund redemptions hit a one-year high this month, according to SS&C Technologies.

The SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index, which measures net flows into or from hedge funds, fell 2.58%. "We continue to see high volumes of asset movement between funds with both subscriptions into funds as well as redemptions posting 12-month highs and redemptions outpacing subscriptions overall," SS&C CEO Bill Stone said.

Separately, SS&C said its Hedge Fund Performance Index added 1.27% last month, making it one of the few industry benchmarks to show double-digit returns for the year. The index was up 10.32% in 2012.
