Australia’s AMP Capital has hired a pair of hedge fund professionals to boost its alternative investments team.
Celine Nguyen and Alistair Rew joined AMP last week. The former had been at XL Group, where he ran the internal hedge fund program, and the latter was a research analyst at EIM Management.
“The appointments bolster our team’s international experience and credentials in managing our hedge fund exposure, as we build global best-practice programs,” Suzanne Tavill, AMP’s head of alternatives, said. “We are committed to dedicating resources to drive the alternative investments programs which provide defensiveness and diversification, something that will be increasingly critical in a yield-starved world.”
