Vontobel Asset Management, an arm of the Swiss Vontobel Group, has added David Walls and Stefan Hüsler to its high-yield and credit investment team.
They will play a key role in strengthening Vontobel's CHF 9 billion fixed-income boutique in the area of credit research.
Walls, who has been appointed as credit analyst and deputy portfolio manager for the Vontobel Fund—High Yield Bond, has over 15 years of investment experience across a wide range of fixed-income portfolios. Most recently he was a high-yield credit consultant at Waddell & Reed in Dallas, Texas. Prior to that, he was co-founder and principal at Three Seas Capital as well as partner and portfolio manager at Highland Capital Management.
Hüsler has been appointed as a credit analyst covering capital goods, basic industry and financial services. He joins having previously held positions at UBS, Pemba Credit Advisors and Man Investments.
The Vontobel Group is a globally-oriented Swiss private bank with estimated assets of CHF 140 billion as of June 30, 2012.
