Armajaro Asset Management portfolio manager Ben Steele has died at the age of 35.

Steele died on Friday, Armajaro said. The London-based hedge fund did not offer any other details, according to Bloomberg News.

Steele joined Armajaro in the summer, after six years at TT International. Steele and Peter Walters managed a financials equities fund at TT and in October launched Armajaro's first equities-only hedge fund, also focused on financials.

Steele graduated from Durham University in the U.K., and entered the financial industry in 1999 at Deutsche Bank.
