York Capital Management hasn’t missed a beat at the start of the new year.

The firm, which saw all of its hedge funds rise by double-digits last year, saw gains in all four strategies in January. The firm's $5.3 billion flagship Multi Strategy Funds rose between 1.8% and 1.9%, in line with industry indices. But its Asian Opportunities Fund, which manages $480 million, stole the show, rising 5% last month, almost half its 10.8% return last year.

The $4.2 billion Credit Opportunities fund added 2.7% on the month and its $1.9 billion European Opportunities Fund 2.2%.
