Saba Capital Management has made a pair of top hires from Citigroup and the Royal Bank of Canada.

Gabriel Roberts and Paul Kazarian are to join the $5.3 billion New York-based hedge fund, led by former Deutsche Bank star trader Boaz Weinstein. Both men will focus on exchange-traded fund indices, Bloomberg News reports.

Roberts was head of global credit-index trading at Citi, and formerly worked at Deutsche Bank. Kazarian was a registered broker at RBC until last month.
