CVC Adds Ex-Lloyds CEO

Mar 4 2013 | 12:17pm ET

Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners has named a former Lloyds Banking Group CEO a senior advisor.

Eric Daniels will serve on CVC's banking team. An American, Daniels led Lloyds from 2003 through 2011, when he retired and joined StormHarbour Partners as an adviser. Daniels oversaw Lloyds' disastrous acquisition of mortgage lender HBOS five years ago, which cost him some of his 2010 bonus last year.

CVC financial institutions chief Jonathan Feuer cited Daniels' "breadth of knowledge and understanding in banking, insurance and wealth management" as reasons for his hire.
