Hedge Funds Down 0.28% In Feb.

Hedge funds lost some ground in February, as most strategies suffered losses on the month.

The Dow Jones Credit Suisse Core Hedge Fund Index fell 0.28% last month.

Five of the seven strategies tracked by the index also declined. Fixed-income arbitrage suffered the biggest drop, losing 1.12%, with global macro funds falling 0.51%. The strongest performers were long/short equity, up 0.37%, and emerging markets, up 0.36%.
