Conifer Beefs Up Sales Team

Mar 21 2013 | 10:09am ET

Hedge fund servicer Conifer Group has made two senior hires for its sales team.

David Goldstein joins as a director while Elizabeth Whitehouse assumes the post of vice president of business development. Both will report to Howard Eisen, Conifer's managing director and head of sales.

Goldstein, who previously spent seven years in the fund administration unit at HSBC Securities Services, brings over 16 years of experience in fund structures, jurisdictions, regulations, service models and strategies to his new role. Prior to HSBC, he spent nine years in senior sales and relationship management roles for fund administrator Trident Trust.

Whitehouse comes to Conifer from fund administrator CACEIS Investor Services where she served as a business development and marketing specialist. Prior to that, she held similar roles at the global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal, and OpHedge Investment Services, a hedge fund administrator.

Goldstein and Whitehouse will market Conifer's products to money managers but will also be responsible for covering industry "influencers," such as fund auditors, attorneys, larger prime brokers and administrators, and technology firms.

"Conifer's iConT platform [a cloud-based platform for portfolio accounting, reporting, analysis and data warehousing] has continued to grow at an impressive rate among emerging managers and established funds," said Jack McDonald, president and CEO of The Conifer Group. "Elizabeth and David's breadth of expertise in the alternatives market and their experience in investor services will prove critical for meeting the ever-changing needs of our clients."
