Investors moved to pull less from hedge funds this month than last, according to a new report.

The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator fell to 2.95% in April, from 4.33% in March, "consistent with historical averages," SS&C Technologies CEO Bill Stone said. The figure represents the sum of forward redemption notices received by hedge funds administered by SS&C's GlobeOp platform.

SS&C said it expects redemption volatility to fall in the coming months, as investors watch their hedge funds' performance.
