KKR In Talks With Ex-CIA Chief Petraeus

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts may hire former Central Intelligence Agency Director David Petraeus.

The private equity firm and the former commander of U.S. military forces in both Afghanistan and Iraq are in discussions, according to published reports. It isn't clear what role Petraeus would fill at KKR.

Petraeus resigned from the CIA in November after an investigation uncovered an extramarital affair. Yesterday, Gawker reported that Petraeus was set to announce a relationship with a venture capital or p.e. firm in New York.

The retired general is coming to KKR's home base, New York, one way or the other this summer: He has accepted a post as visiting professor at the City University of New York beginning in August.
