Parker Global Hires New Research Director

Fund of funds shop Parker Global Strategies has hired Sam Chung as vice president, director of quantitative research and risk management. In this newly created position, Chung will be responsible for developing quantitative risk management tools and systems for the firm.

Prior to joining PGS, Chung served on the investment committee at State Street Global Alliance/SSARIS Advisors LLC. He also served as a research associate at the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Market. He will be based in the firm’s Stamford office and work closely with Virginia Parker, Parker Global‘s founder.
 
 “Sam’s background and academic expertise are integral to our firm as we look to further develop our allocation tools and expand our research into new emerging strategies,” said Parker.
