Jul 26 2013 | 10:34am ET

As secret hedge-fund charity tournaments go, the one held on Monday wasn't especially secretive, as it will be on television next month. But it was star-studded, as hedge fund poker tournaments go.

The event, held at the Borgata in Atlantic City, pitted six well-known managers/card players against each other. Taking up the $50,000 buy-in were Kynikos Associates' Jim Chanos, Greenlight Capital's David Einhorn, Gabelli Asset Management's Mario Gabelli, Pine River Investments' Steve Kuhn, Skylar Capital's Bill Perkins and Ariel Investments' John Rogers.

Bloomberg TV's Trish Regan was on hand to host the event, "Poker Night on Wall Street."
