Hedge fund Aquila Capital has hired an Aremus Partners portfolio manager to lead a planned new fund.
Dorothee Goerz joined Aquila in March. She'll manage a value and event-driven long/short strategy, which will debut in the fall.
"Dorothee's outstanding experience and in-depth knowledge means she is an invaluable addition to the Aquila Capital team," CEO Roman Rosslenbroich said. Goerz said she chose to join Aquila due to its "strong corporate infrastructure, which will enable the team and I to concentrate on generating true alpha."
Prior to her two years at Aremus, where she focused on Europe, risk management and idea generation, Goerz worked at Lombard Odier Investment Managers, where she managed a pan-European long/short stock book.
