Regulatory Compliance Firm Axiom Hires First COO

Hedge fund services firm Axiom Software Laboratories has named a bank veteran its new chief operating officer.

Gordon Elliot assumes the new post at the firm, which focuses on regulatory reporting, compliance and risk management. He is charged with implementing Axiom's strategies and objectives, notably building new partnerships.

"Gordon is a solid leader dedicated to consistently delivering results with a strong focus on operational excellence," CEO Alex Tsigutkin said. "I trust his ability to align AxiomSL's integrated data-driven solution in addressing our clients' regulatory needs and to continue our sustainable growth in Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific."

Elliot is a former managing director at UBS and Barclays Capital.
