UBS Asia Prime Account Chief To JPMorgan

Aug 21 2013 | 9:31am ET

JPMorgan Chase has lured a top UBS prime brokerage executive in Asia to lead its own prime brokerage account management effort in the region.

Chris Barber moves to JPMorgan's Hong Kong office from the Swiss bank, where he held the same post, leading account management in the prime brokerage business, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Barber's hire is only the latest skirmish in the ongoing battle for prime-brokerage talent in the region. In May, JPMorgan named Credit Suisse's David Leahy head of Asia-Pacific prime services sales.
