Sep 13 2013 | 10:09am ET

Recruiting firm Korn/Ferry International has boosted its alternative investments practice with the hire of Pascal Smith.

Smith was named a senior client partner at Korn/Ferry, based in London. He is charged with further developing the company's alternative investments expertise, Korn/Ferry said.

"Pascal's global approach to business, combined with deep experience and relationships at the highest levels of financial services organizations, are a strong fit for Korn/Ferry as we further extend our capabilities to clients throughout the region and beyond," Michael Franzino, global market managing director, said.

Smith joins Korn/Ferry from Heidrick & Struggles, where he was co-head of the global hedge fund practice. He joined that firm in 2002, after a career at Armstrong & Struggles and Michael Page.
