Oil Hedge Fund Mastic Hires Goldman Vet As CEO

Hedge fund Mastic Investment Advisory has named a veteran bank trader as its CEO.

James O'Brien was also appointed chief risk officer at the Zug, Switzerland-based oil specialist, Bloomberg News reports.

O'Brien worked with Mastic chief investment officer Kieran McKenna at Goldman Sachs. He's also worked at Cargill, Citadel Investment Group, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Fortis Bank, JPMorgan Chase and Lehman Brothers.

Mastic's flagship hedge fund is down 3.5% this year. It returned 21% last year.
