Neuberger Berman Unveils Emerging Markets Debt Fund

Sep 30 2013 | 2:38pm ET

Neuberger Berman Group has launched a new emerging-markets fixed-income fund.

The Emerging Markets Income Fund is designed for U.S. investors, and is run by a 22-person team that includes a dozen portfolio managers in offices around the world.

"We believe the structural case for emerging markets debt remains strong, as investors increasingly recognize the economic significance, improved credit quality, and depth of emerging markets economies and capital markets," Rob Drijkoningen, co-head of the EMD team, said. "EMD should continue to benefit from the long-term trend of inflows, as investors in the U.S. and internationally look to include emerging markets to the fixed-income exposure," co-head Gorky Urquieta added.
