The founding chairman of Europe's leading hedge-fund lobbying organization has joined Montreux Capital Management.
Ian Morley was named chairman of the three-year old firm, the latest in his long string of chairmanships. In addition to the Alternative Investment Management Association, Morley has held the post at Corazon Capital and HedgeInfo. In addition, he formerly worked at the London office of Phibro, the former Citigroup commodities trading desk that spawned Andrew Hall's Astenbeck Capital Management.
"I am delighted to take on this new role as chairman of Montreux Capital," Morley said. "This growing firm and engaging management team are focusing on the creative investment area of truly diversified alternatives."
