The Alternative Investment Management Association has new leadership atop its investor steering committee.

Michelle McGregor-Smith, CEO of British Airways Pension Management, and Kurt Silberstein of US Bank's Ascent Private Capital Management, were named chair and deputy chair of the committee, the hedge-fund lobbying group said. The ISC includes more than 20 institutional investors.

McGregor-Smith and Silbertstein—the latter until two years ago head of the California Public Employees' Retirement System's hedge fund program—"have been among ISC's strongest supporters in recent years," AIMA CEO Andrew Baker said.
