San Francisco Hedge Fund Firm Snags BlackRock Executive

Hedge fund firm JMP Asset Management has hired Richard Duff as a managing director and head of distribution and product management. Duff joins the firm following a three-year-stint as a managing director and co-head of the private client group at BlackRock, where he was responsible for intermediary products and distribution.

At JMP, Duff will develop new fund products and institutional distribution channels for both new and existing products.

JMP is based in San Francisco-based and offers a family of single-strategy hedge funds under the Harvest name and multi-manager hedge fund products under the Saw Island Asset Management name.
