Parker Global Strategies today said that Michael Parker has joined the firm as president. In his new capacity, Parker will guide Parker Global’s strategic direction, lead the firm’s worldwide marketing initiatives and oversee the day-to-day operations, relieving Virginia Parker, his wife and founder of the firm, to concentrate more on the firm’s products and its clients.

Prior to joining PGS, Parker was the national production director at Willis Re Inc., a global reinsurance firm, where he was responsible for all production efforts in the U.S. with oversight and strategic control over 50 production oriented brokers.

“PGS has a number of important initiatives on the organizational, investment, and product development fronts that we will be announcing over the coming months,” said Virginia Parker. “Michael will be assuming my responsibilities for management of the firm and people, allowing me to focus more on our investments and clients.”
