Arbalet Founder Fan To Millennium

Following the failure of her own venture, Jennifer Fan has found refuge in one of the world's oldest and largest hedge funds.

Fan joined Millennium Management this month, according to her LinkedIn profile. According to Reuters, she serves as a commodities portfolio manager at the $20 billion firm, focusing on her relative-value specialty.

Fan, 30, shuttered her year-and-a-half old Arbalet Capital late last year. One of the largest hedge fund launches of 2012, Arbalet lost money in both of its operating years, causing investors to bolt. The firm managed as much as $700 million at its peak.

Arbalet featured the same relative-value commodities strategy that Fan ran at Arrowhawk Capital Partners, which closed in early 2012.
