The U.K.'s Universities Superannuation Scheme has hired the former hedge fund chief at BT Pension Scheme Management, Kathryn Graham.
The £40 billion pension fund named Graham head of strategy coordination, a new post. She is charged with seeing that asset allocation plans are properly implemented by both USS' in-house and external managers.
"Increasingly, we are taking a whole-scheme view to investment and risk management, and through the development of this role, we hope to achieve greater synergies amongst our various asset classes and managers to deliver the most effective investment strategy," chief investment officer Roger Gray said.
Graham began at USS today.
